Several international conferences will be hosted this spring by Romanian research centers. Some of them might be of interest for the reader of our announcements. We list them in the following.

The anniversary conference of the Research Institute for Quality of

Established in January 1990, RIQL is one of the top research centers in Romania. The institute is part of the Romanian Academy. Despite the name, it focuses on various other topics, and so is the conference. Please note the titles and the descriptions of the sections they host this spring (23-25 of April). In addition, note that several members of our team are or were part of the RIQL. And, of course, there is a section on social values. However, hurry up! The deadline for submitting proposals is tomorrow (15th of January).

The 2nd Edition of SCOPE

The Faculty of Political Science in the University of Bucharest hosted a very nice first edition of this conference in 2014. This year they may set up a tradition. The focus is on Democracy, Governance and Identity in Contemporary Politics. Consider their sections, for an event scheduled between 7th and 9th of May. The deadline for proposal submission is 31st of January.

EPC-TKS 2015

Farer from our research interest, but somehow related (values may play a role in education, and may be shaped by it) is the 3rd Edition of this Conference on Education and Psychology Challenges, hosted by the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești, and scheduled for May 8 – 10, 2015. The deadline for proposal submission is the last day of January. Those will attend the conference should not miss the opportunity to be in the city of Ploiești, the city of the most important American air-battle during the Second World War ;)

The ISA-RC 47 regional conference

On 11 and 12 of May, the ISA-Research Committee on “Social classes and social movements” organizes this conference on Social movements in Central and Eastern Europe, to be hosted by the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work in the University of Bucharest. The deadline for abstract submission is 15th of February.
